Local by
design.

Fast Sound Library is built to organize audio on your device. Your sound files, tags, projects, searches, and playback activity are not sent to us.

Effective July 19, 2026

01

Your audio stays local

Files are read and processed on your device.

02

No account required

There is no profile, login, or cloud library.

03

No tracking

We do not use analytics, ads, or tracking pixels.

01

Scope

This policy explains how Fast Sound Library handles information in the Fast Sound Library desktop application, the browser application, and the FastSoundLibrary.com website. Fast Sound Library is operated by Chilling Moose OÜ.

For personal data that we collect, Chilling Moose OÜ is the data controller. Most information used by the application remains on your device and is never collected by us.

02

Data on your device

The application works with information you provide or create. This information is processed locally and is not uploaded to us.

Audio files and folders

The application reads only files and folders you select, open, or drop into it. Audio decoding, waveform generation, spectrogram analysis, playback, search, clipping, and export happen on your device.

Library information

File names, folder paths, audio properties, tags, colors, categories, project names, favorites, and other organization data are stored locally so the application can restore your library.

Settings and permissions

The application stores interface and playback settings locally. The browser application may remember a folder permission after you approve it, subject to your browser's permission controls.

Diagnostics

The desktop application may create local startup or rendering logs for troubleshooting. These logs are not sent automatically.

What we do not receive: your audio, folder paths, file names, tags, projects, searches, waveform selections, exports, or playback history.

03

Website request data

When you visit FastSoundLibrary.com, the web server and hosting provider necessarily process limited technical request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This may include your IP address, requested page, request time, browser type, operating system, referring page, and basic error or security information.

We use this information only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or track your activity across websites.

Browser storage

The browser application uses browser-managed storage, including IndexedDB or the Origin Private File System, to save your local library state and remembered folder handles. A service worker caches application code, fonts, icons, and interface assets for offline use. These features do not upload your audio files to us.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or tracking cookies. The Satoshi typeface and all other page assets are served directly from FastSoundLibrary.com.

04

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not share your local application data because we do not receive it.

Technical website request data may be processed by service providers that host, deliver, or secure the website. They may use that data only to provide those services, meet legal obligations, and protect their systems. Providers acting on our behalf are required to apply protections equivalent to those described in this policy.

The website and application include optional links to Steam, X, and Discord. If you follow one of these links, that service receives information under its own privacy policy. Fast Sound Library does not embed their analytics or sign-in tools.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of the service.

05

Retention and deletion

Local application information remains on your device until you remove it. Removing a library from the application does not delete your original audio files.

  • Browser application: clear site data for FastSoundLibrary.com in your browser to remove its saved state, cached assets, and remembered folder handles. You can also revoke folder access through your browser's site permissions.
  • Desktop application: remove libraries and annotations through the application, or delete its local application data after closing it. Uninstalling the application may not remove local application data automatically.
  • Website request data: server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized under the hosting provider's retention process.

Exports and backups you create are files under your control. Delete them from the location where you saved them when you no longer need them.

06

Your choices and rights

You decide which folders and files the application can access. You may revoke access, remove a library, clear browser storage, or delete local application data at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because your audio and library information are not transmitted to us, we cannot access, recover, export, or delete that local information for you. For questions about website request data or to exercise an applicable privacy right, contact us using the details below.

07

Children

Fast Sound Library is a general-purpose audio utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the website, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

08

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the application, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be presented on this page before or when they take effect.
